Customer Service Advocate Job Description

Reports to: Producer

Summary: The Customer Service Advocate provides excellent customer service assisting the Client Manager in serving an insurance book of business that consist of renewals and new business.


Essential Functions:
  • Process endorsements, cancellations, and account billing
  • Generate and issue certificates of insurance
  • Prepare loss runs and loss summaries for renewals
  • Generate auto identification cards
  • Process interim and final audits
  • Generate and process claims
  • Maintain and update all location, property, vehicle, and equipment spreadsheets
  • Set-up new clients and prospects in EPIC Account Management System
  • Adhere to EPIC, CSR24, and Indio workflow standards
  • Assist with policy delivery
  • Review policies for accuracy
  • Attend and participate in job related classes and webinars
  • Advanced Customer Service Advocates will complete applications, rate and quote risks, and start proposals for renewal and new business as directed
  • Perform other job-related functions as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum twenty-four months large commercial insurance related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience as detailed
  • Excellent verbal, written, and electronic customer service communication skills
  • Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced knowledge with Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to maintain organization while prioritizing responsibilities and workflows
  • Adherence to all company policies and procedures including safety standards
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Commitment to continual job-related learning, including insurance industry knowledge and coverages
Education and Licensing:
  • Current Property and Casualty License required
  • High School Diploma required
  • Prefer Bachelor’s Degree in related field with six months of experience or Associate’s Degree in related field with twenty-four months of experience
